EMPS #56 -- Welcome to Autumn (Leaves or Flowers)

Today for Carly's Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot, we were to shoot fresh (as in not archived) photos of signs of autumn, if we lived in an area where they were available. I was thinking it might be too early until I took my SLR and went outside and found these brown leaves on the ground out back. I believe they are from my oak trees on either side of the driveway.

To go see more such items on various blogs, go to the link in the first sentence. If you would like to participate, just follow the directions. It's fun!

There's lot of brown leaves here too, but we're not experiencing autumn, just trees shedding their dead leaves!

Not only are the stars of your shots nice...the shadows in the first shot are so crips. Nice work.

They certainly look like oak leaves to me and the composition of the first photograph is well balanced between leaves that are a shadow of their former selves and the shadow they can still cast in the autumnal sunshine.
It makes a great picture.

The look like oak. My oak tree doesn't lose it's leaves until the middle of december. Very odd.

I like the shot of the three leaves together.
