Round Robin Photo Challenge -- Roots

Hooray, the Round Robin Photo Challenge is back! There has been a brief hiatus during the holidays but we're up and running again.

The theme this time is "Roots", and I have taken that two different ways. The first is roots as in those found in a tree. My trees don't show too many roots, though. This picture was the best I could get.

The second way I took it was roots as in ancestors, and I have provided a link in the following sentence to a picture I posted on Flickr of my paternal grandparents, Josephine and Charles McClellan.
My grandparents McClellan on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

If you would like to participate in the Round Robin, go to the link in the first sentence of the first paragraph and you will find all the info you need!

I love that you took a different direction on the theme. Your grandparents look so sweet and kind.

Hi!
Great shots for the round robin theme. Your grandparents look like they are very happy! Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great week end!

I love the moss on that one shot, and that ancestry one was interesting as well. Have you ever looked at findagrave.com? That's where I posted my old photos of my grandparents and aunt.

My first thought when I saw the word "roots" was the book with the same name, who tells the story of a black whose ancestor was shipped to the States as a slave. Terrible story !
