Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #16: Autumn Meets Winter

My friend Carly at the blog Ellipsis has created a new Monday Photo Shoot for us, this time with the theme "Autumn Meets Winter". If you go to her blog, you'll find that her shot is very like the one I posted second above. I didn't mean to copy her, but it's what I had! LOL! In order to keep from being a total copy-cat, I also posted the picture above it, of the snow coming down the other day. If you would like to participate, go to Carly's blog and read all the particulars and sign up!

It is very cold here right now so I am going to make this very short. The heater that should be here in the office is now outside and under the house, trying to thaw out the pipes to my bathtub and avert a broken-pipe disaster!

Autumn has met winter head-on here in northwestern Oregon!

Hi Suzanne :)

You didn't copy the one I did, you have done amazing things with lighting I wasn't able to capture! Both photos are just gorgeous! Well done m'dear! :)

Always, Carly

A later note:

The pipes were thawed with the greatly-appreciated help of my son Jeff and I have my heater back here in my office, thankfully. There are still a few cold spots in my house but I did get a hot bath after the water came back on in the bathtub!

Hey Suzanne, thanks for the comment on my blog. Yep, I'm in PDX with the snow and wind and waiting for the next storm! Fortunately, I don't have to go out in it or drive in it, so I'm content. Sounds like you've had some problems with pipes though. That is NOT fun. You're near Wilsonville, what town are you in?

Great photos!

Suzanne -- I used to live in Canby and also outside of Estacada - I know that area really well! Molalla, Colton, Mulino, Beavercreek, etc. It's beautiful out there.

Don't you just love the snow ?!? I hate it with the a passion.

I was glad that Jeff was able to come and help. I hope there was no damage in your house.

*HUGS*

No, no damage in the house, thankfully, Dawn. Everything is fine and I am so relieved about that. I also had a leaky faucet out in my old barnyard that I had forgotten about but Jeff got that repaired today. And it has warmed up a little! So I am feeling pretty good at the moment.

These are great photos, especially the first one. Just looking at them give me chill , right now the sun is shinning ever so bright here in Singapore. That's the only season we have , beside the occasional rain.
